あけましておめでとうございます！！！

ここ日本では稀に見るほど充実した内容を誇る、海外インディーズシーン情報満載のこの新たなブログへようこそ！昨年から On the One ではこの東京の地へどうにかして世界レベルで最高のそしてカッコイイ、インディーズシーンを広める為に日夜知恵を絞ってきた。その軌跡を振り返ってみると、Asobi Seksu, Yndi Halda, WinterKids, The Dirty Secrets　そしてスウェーデンのシーン最高峰 the Shout Out Louds ・・・しかし、それでもまだ上を見据えさらなる欲求の追及をするにあたり、新たな年の課題として、単なる“最高のライブショー”の提供に甘んじることなく、ファンが求めるバンドやライブハウスについてなどたくさんの情報を提供することにもっと力を入れていこうと考えている。

Know your neighbor Friday—東京の音楽シーンに“こいつアリ”の、ナイスな人々や場所を紹介

The Week in Review (Saturday)—On the One 関連やその他世界中からの最新情報

Sunday Brunch—一週間の激務を振り返り、ふんぞり返って、寝転んで目にして欲しい、くだらないジョークやヤバイ人たちなどなど脱力感満載の日曜の朝

こんな流れでかなりテンコ盛りでお届けしますが、問題は一つ・・・ネタが続くのか？

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to your new source for all things related to the foreign indies music scene in Japan. Since last year, we at On the One have spent our days and nights plotting clever ways to bring the best and brightest of the international indies scene to Tokyo. We brought you artists like Asobi Seksu, Yndi Halda, WinterKids, The Dirty Secrets and of course Sweden’s finest—the Shout Out Louds. But, as we are always striving to bring you more, we are making it our mission for the new year to not only bring great live music, but to also bring you lots of great information about all of your favorite bands, your favorite clubs and much, much more.

What kinds of great information, you ask?

The Monday Mix—Music videos, recommended artists and anything else interesting we can find to help you through your Monday hangovers

Top Five Tuesdays—Our army of experts share their favorite songs, albums, guitar solos, Tokyo restaurants, movies and more.

Whachu Talkin’ Bout Wednesday—Our staff of scholars break down the lyrics of your favorite songs and explain the myriad nuances and cultural references that liner note translations tend to miss

Information Overload (Thursday)—CD Reviews, Live Reports, new release info and anything else we can find

Know your neighbor Friday—Getting to know the people and places that make the Tokyo music scene what it is

The Week in Review (Saturday)—A summary of all that’s new with On the One and the world

Sunday Brunch—After working hard all week at work, this is your chance to sit back and read stupid jokes and watch stupid people do funny things.

Also, as finding all of this great information for you will be hard work, we welcome andy ideas or suggestions that you may have. Or if you want to write a CD reviews or live report, please don’t be shy! We’d love all the help we can get.
