WONFU 2008 日本の思い出 TOP 5
今回は日本盤発売を記念して来日中のWONFU。2年前にも一度来日をしているが、
今回は3箇所でのライブに加え、プライベートで日本文化も堪能。多くの思い出
をつくったWONFU メンバー選出による「WONFU 2008 日本の思い出 TOP5」
第五位 新曲「恥ずかれ様でした」完成
ギター/ヴォーカルの小民（チュンミン）が今回の滞在中に新曲を創作/発表。
なんとか習得、そしてその中でもたくさん使った日本語「恥ずかしい」と
「お疲れ様でした」。The Collectors の加藤氏とノリノリで話をしている間
にいつの間にか出来上がったのが、新曲「恥ずかれ様でした」！
今回のステージでも既に披露され、会場の笑いをとった名(迷)曲！？
第四位 NHK FM「アジアポップスウィンド」収録
今回はラジオ番組の収録もこなしたWONFU。期待に胸を膨らませ向かったところ、通訳が・・・いない！Mamiが少しは日本語出来るとは言っても、ラジオでマイクに向かって全員分の通訳までは・・・そこで白羽の矢が立ったのが、過去に日本への留学経験有り（と言っても約20年前！）の同行していた事務所スタッフ。突然のマイクに、相当緊張しつつもなんとか無事収録完了！彼にとっての一番思い出は間違いなくこの一件。そんな裏話があるだけに、この放送聞き逃せないぞ！

第三位 日本のインド料理
たまたま入ったインド料理屋。その美味しさに一同ビックリ！どうやら台で食べるインド料理と味が 違うらしい。すっかり日本で食べるインドカレーの虜になり、数回足を運んだメンバー。日本料理がランクインしないのは残念だが、それだけ日本の根付くインドコミュニティーの水準が高いと喜ぶべきなのか・・・？ちなみに彼らがハマッタ店とは、渋谷のサムラートカレープラザ（東急ハンズの手前）。
第二位 温泉
群馬・猿ヶ京温泉へ足を伸ばし、"ザ・ニッポンの冬"的に雪の中の温泉を堪能。勿論初めて見るその日本的な情景の全てに感動した一行だが、なんと小民（チュンミン）とDupiにとっては初めての雪！二人が大興奮でハシャギまくったのは言うまでもない。
第一位 The COLLECTORSとの共演 ＠渋谷クアトロ
堂々の一位に輝いたのは、勿論The COLLECTORSとのライブ！The COLLECTORSファンにとってはすっかりお馴染みになったWONFU。一緒に口ずさんだり、ノッたりしてくれる観客もいて、本当に日本にこれて、そしてCDが発売出来て良かったと改めて感激。大好きなThe COLLECTORSと満場のファンに囲まれ、最高に幸せなステージだった。これからもWONFUをよろしく！

For this week's Top 5 we interviewed Taiwanese pop group Won Fu. Here to promote the Japanese release of their latest album Won Fu has not only played three shows but had a load of great times. This week's Top 5 asks Won Fu about their Top 5 things about Japan.
5) Finishing their latest song entitled Hazukaresamadeshita.
Guitarist/Vocal Chun Min came up with the song while in a frenzied conversation with Katou from The Collectors by combining some of his newly learned Japanese to make a new word. His announcement of the new song on stage garnered more than a few laughs!
4) Recording the show Asia Pops Sound on NHK FM
The band headed to the NHK studio eagerly expecting and confident only to find that there was no interpreter! Band member Mami can speak a little Japanese but as it turned out Won Fu's management staff was the one who ended up getting singled out (as he has been to Japan to study Japanese albeit 20 years ago!). Though incredibly nervous the band emerged unscathed and for their manager the show was a definite highlight. This show is one not to be missed (especially since now you know the background info!). 3)Japanese Indian Food
By chance the band happened upon an Indian restaurant which caught them completely off guard. Somehow the Indian food in Taiwan is just different. Enslaved by this fabulous new taste the members found themselves as repeat customers. Unfortunately Japanese food failed to register on their scales this time but the high class of Indian food that has taken root in Japan could perhaps be something the Japanese could take pride in... By the way the restaurant in question is the Samrat Curry Plaza across from Tokyu hands in Shibuya.
2) Japanese Hot Spring
Though extremely busy the band found time to get out to Sarugakyo Onsen in Gunma prefecture and we glad to get an authentic Japanese snowy winter hot spring experience. Though this first time experience was remarkable even more so was the first time to see snow for member Chun min and Dupi. Needless to say there was more than a little excitement!
1) Opening for The Collectors at Quattro
By far the pinnacle of their visit to Japan was playing with The Collectors and getting
acquainted with their great fans. Not only did the fans enjoy the show, they also sang
along and made the show more than a pleasurable experience. Everything about the show touched the band and reaffirmed their love for Japan!
