4/9にRough Trade から発売されるニューヨークの奇才、Adam Green(元Moldy Peaches)のアルバムは2008年一の珍作になること間違えなし。"うら若きフォーク・ロック版フランク・シナトラがくねくねした子供の歌を唄ってる"そんな感じ。えっ！？っと眉間にシワを寄せるのもわかる。そして、一聴してしてみてさらに？？？なんだこりゃ。でも、きっとこの珍味に興味をそそられるはず。その抽象的歌詞とキャッチーっぷりに聴けば聴くほど虜になり、気が付けばポケットに潜む ipod のお気に入りに・・・ほとんどの英語ネイティブな人達にすら彼が何て唄ってんだか分かりづらいのは残念だけど、これまた聴いているうちにクセになる。ほとんどの曲が良いのだが、個人的にお気に入りなのは トラック2,6,13,15。 Kimya Dawson や Beck　好きな人は確実にハマル！

To be released on Rough Trade Japan on April 9th NYC's Adam Green's (Moldy Peaches) solo debut effort promises to be one of the most interesting albums of 2008. Picture a young folk rock version of Frank Sinatra singing warped children's songs. I know it sounds a little out there, and accordingly after a first listen you will probably be a little confused...but you will also be intrigued. With further listening his abstract lyrics and penchant for catchy tunes will quickly find a way into your mental ipod. Unfortunately not even the most native of native speakers will understand what Green's lyrics actually mean, but after a few listens that becomes part of the charm. Almost every track is good but personal favorites are tracks 2,6,13,and 15. If you like music along the lines of Kimya Dawson or Beck this album is a must.
