Food Friday（今後 "Food For Thought" へ名称変更されます）の今週号は、肉食街道
を極める創造物を紹介するのでご注意！というのも、今日のターゲット、
東京ロティサリーチキンズDC（神田北口）で食べる肉はそんじょそこらとは断然に違うんだ！
渋谷、青山などのいつもの行動範囲から外れ、神田界隈を散策したある日。とある店頭の
串刺しのチキン（この店名物）が並ぶロティサリーオーブンが発するおいしそうなにおいに
足を止めずにはいられなかった。その回転式串焼き器でチキンがじっくり炙られるのを待つ
こと30分。こちらもじっくり待ってばかりはいられないから、その間に先にやってきた一品
に手をつけた。レモン風味のスープが底入った、がっしりしたダッチオーブンでテーブルに
届いたガーリックソーセージ。「薄い・・・」と最初思ったこのスープだが、この店特製の
スパイスを加えたところ、諸手を挙げてしまう味に大変身！その後、"サラミ＆チキン"、
"ポテトの皮＆チーズ＆ベーコン" とたて続けにやってきた料理をペロリと平らげ終えた頃、
お待ちかねのメインイベントがやってきた。
"メインイベント" なんて表現じゃ物足りない。同じくローストされた野菜で彩られたこのチキン
を一目見た瞬間、口の中でとろけるより前に、目の中でとろけた、そんな感じ。やわらかくて
ジューシーなのはもちろん、こんがり炙られた野菜の風味にあおられて、もう溢れんばかり・・・
この本物の家庭料理のおかげで、まるでクリスマス休暇後に日本へ帰る飛行機に搭乗したような
、そんな気分に浸った。在日外国人よ、愛情こもった懐かしい味を探しているなら、

Because this week's edition of Food Friday (from now on known as Food For
Thought) is a culinary culmination of carnivore creations. In other non
alliterative words Tokyo Rotisserie Chicken DC in Kanda serves up some
of the best meats in town.
Whilst remarking that it was nice to go somewhere other than Shibuya,
Aoyama etc we strolled into the place, and were overcome by the delicious
aroma emanating from the Dutch oven filled with DC's speciliaty chicken
that was slow roasting on a spit. In the 30 minutes it took for our
chicken to rotisserie itself we took the liberty of ordering the garlic
sausage which came in lemon based soup. At first a little thin on taste,
once we added DC's special spice, the soup left us raving. After a salami and ch
eese plate, and some potato skins with cheese and bacon it was time for the main event.
Main event is almost an understatement. Adorned with an assortment of
roasted vegetables, the chicken melted in my eyes before eventually melting
in my mouth. It was not only tender and juicy but bursting with the flavour
of the vegetables with which it roasted. It was the honest home cooking
that I long for each time I board the plane back to Japan after Christmas
vacation. If you are looking for a hearty, filling meal go directly to
Tokyo Rotisserie Chicken DC and you will not be disappointed.
